@meamjoe I didn’t try putting it on the back of the bracket, guess I should have, but what was the brand that you bought? Mine was platinum audio inc. They have a website, but it isn’t even up and running (so I thought maybe it was just a bootleg company)
As for the orange wire I connected that to the orange on the harness, but the orange/black wire I left disconnected. Mine had an all black wire for the ground but it didn’t work, my antenna wire is the only thing grounding the stereo.
@meamjoe , oh and. i first used the orange as my ground, but it turns out that the gauge lights cannot share a ground. you turn off the gauge lights, stereo works, turn em on, stereo turns off… so i had to like, make a new separate ground with a screw behind the stereo.
hey man, i watched this yesterday; and put this shit in my friend’s car today.
you actually dont have to cut and trim that faceplate/bracket shit. Instead of being like some normal shit and sliding in through the front of it, it comes in from behind and seats nicely.
not bein a dick, it was more like an “oh shit” moment.
@floridaboys13 The orange with a black line is a ground for the illumination, didn’t I say that?
